Avrete notato l'assenza di post negli ultimi giorni: no, non abbiamo deciso di smettere di aggiornarvi.
Abbiamo solo pensato che avreste gradito più foto e più notizie "fresche" e non semplicemente "riportate": ottima scusa per prendere un aereo e volare a Londra, e supportare i The Lotus in prima persona!
Ma, prima di raccontarvi delle ultime folli 24 ore, riprendiamo il filo del Forgotten Tour da dove l'avevamo lasciato: lo Snooty Fox di Wakefield!
Non vi ho ancora scritto quanto sia stato apprezzato lo streaming live della loro esibizione, né quanto fosse frustrante perdere la connessione e vedersi saltare un brano a metà. E non ero la sola: qualcuno si è espresso in termini molto più "pittoreschi" dei miei (che di certo non sto qui a riportare; usate un po' di immaginazione), sulla momentanea indisponibilità del server. Per fortuna, e con ostinazione, tutte le problematiche tecniche sono state risolte in tempi brevi.
Pensavate fosse tutto qui? Non si sono limitati a mandare in rete l'intera esibizione: esiste un DVD della serata! Molto più comodo di qualsiasi traballante connessione o servizio hosting!
Un locale molto attrezzato, uno staff competente, una serata decisamente positiva:
Dopo questa singolare esperienza, li abbiamo lasciati riposare per un giorno.
Il tempo di organizzare la partenza della falange italiana, che si è riversata a Londra proprio ieri, adeguatamente abbigliata e accessoriata, alla faccia del viaggiatore medio che scrutava con occhi terrorizzati il gruppo dark che si muoveva svolazzando da un gate all'altro, sfidando rimozioni di auto, pranzi con sushi discutibili, autisti privi del concetto di "freno", limiti di peso e misure per bagagli, metal detector impazziti, assistenti di volo simpatici come un mal di pancia, il pazzo con la testa fuori dal finestrino della tube, perquisizioni varie, i bagni di Victoria Station e molto, molto altro.
Tutto per arrivare quanto prima all' Hope & Anchor di Islington, Londra, locale storico (volete saperne di più? Dovreste! Quindi leggete pure
QUI!) che continua a proporre eventi live di qualità... non per niente c'erano i The Lotus, ieri sera, a stravolgere un tranquillo mercoledì qualunque!
Quanto prima uploaderemo anche i video; per il momento lustratevi gli occhi con queste foto e cominciate a mettere in conto di esserci anche voi, la prossima volta.
Ormai non dovremmo più stupirci della bellezza dei loro live, eppure la magia continua a colpire.
Ditelo, che avreste voluto esserci anche voi. Avreste la nostra comprensione. E, forse, mezzo pacchetto di chips indonesiane ai mille gusti, che non hanno ancora trovato una collocazione e una effettiva ragion d'essere a bordo della The Lotus Tour Hospitality.
Come vi ho preannunciato, troverete presto online più foto e video (e, chissà, forse anche del folle post-serata ;-) ); lasciateci solo il tempo di metabolizzare l'intensa esperienza londinese: chi scrive deve ancora trovare il tempo di dormire, da circa 48 ore! :-D
Ancora mille ringraziamenti allo staff dell'Hope & Anchor e, da parte delle Lotus Ladies & chaperone, a Gavrièl, Massimo e ovviamente ai ragazzi per l'ospitalità, il passaggio in aeroporto, le tante risate e la barzelletta delle mucche.
Sono momenti che non si dimenticano.
Questa sera i The Lotus si esibiscono al The Haigate di Telford; noi vi rimandiamo a domani con chissà quali altre sorprese!!!

You may have noticed a little lack of posts, lately : no, we didn't decide to stop the updating.
We just thought that you would have loved more fresh pictures and news, instead of the simply "reported" ones: excellent excuse to book a flight to London, and support theThe Lotus in person!
But before telling you about the last, crazy 24 hours, we resume the thread of the Forgotten Tour where we left off: The Snooty Fox in Wakefield!
I haven't written yet how the live streaming of their performance has been appreciated, nor how frustrating was to lose the connection and catch a gap in mid-song. And I was not alone, complaining about it with mr. internet explorer: someone also expressed his disappontment about the temporary unavailability of the server in a much more "colorful" language (which of course I'm not here to report, use a little imagination). Luckly, with obstinacy, all the technical problems were quickly solved.
We thought it was all about it? The The Lotus now also have a DVD of that night gig! Much more comfortable than any flaky connection or hosting service!
A very smart and competent staff, a very successful evening!
After this unique experience, we left them resting for a day.
Enough time to organize the Italian phalanx departure, which poured out in London yesterday, properly dressed and equipped, in spite of the average traveler staring with terrified eyes the dark group moving flitting from one gate to another, defying removal cars, awful sushi lunch, questionable drivers without the concept of "brake", weight and size limits for luggage, metal detector that went crazy, flight attendants as friendly as a stomachache, the madman with his head out the window of the tube, the toilets in Victoria Station and much, much more.
Everything to arrive as soon as possible to the Hope & Anchor in Islington, London, a famous historical pub (want to know more? You should! Then read on
here!) that continues to offer quality live events ... that is why the The Lotus were there last night, to overturn a quiet, normal wednesday!
As first said, we will upload videos too; meanwhile, take a look at these pictures and begin to plan to be there, next time.
By now, we should not wonder at the beauty of their lives, but the magic continues to strike.
Say it, you wanted to be there too. You have our entire comprehension. And, perhaps, half a pack of indonesian chips in various tastes, which haven't yet found a place and a real reason for being on board of The Lotus Tour Hospitality.
As I told before, more pictures and videos of the show will be online soon (and who knows, maybe the crazy post-evening ones too ;-) ), let us just enough time to metabolize the intense London experience: the writer has yet to find some time to sleep, since 48 hours passed! :-D
And again: many, many, many, etc. thanks to the Hope & Anchor staff and, especially by the Lotus Ladies & chaperone, Gavriel, Massimo and, of course, the guys for the nice hospitality, the ride to the airport, the so many laughs and, of course, the cows joke.
These are moments you'll never forget.
